For sale is a Vintique telecaster. Crafted by Vintique with a genuine Fender 52' reissue Telecaster body. Vintiques are considered to be THE best custom telecaster available today and this one is actually a one-off model that Jay Montrose -master builder and owner of vintique guitars- built for the 07 naam show and the back of the scratch-plate is hand signed and numbered by Jay. (Prototype 001. The body and neck are stamped and numbered 001 as well)
Features include a custom built, Birdseye maple neck with select rosewood fingerboard, medium-width frets, Schaller tuning machines, custom radius fingerboard AND it's mounted with the "Danny Gatton neck-mounting system" which uses machine screws with threaded steel grommets in that rock-solid neck heel. This makes for an extremely stable guitar with no neck drift and perfect tuning. This neck is a "boat neck", i.e. THICK like the vintage Telecasters and plays beautifully like a true custom, boutique neck should.
The Tailpiece is genuine Vintique, hand welded and finished with brass, compensated saddles. Electronics are top-of-the-line, USA made with an orange-drop resistor plus Seymour Duncan custom shop pickups especially made and hand wound. As you can see from the pictures, the pickups ARE one-of-a-kind Seymours!
Even the scratch-plate is custom bakelite, NOT plastic and the paint job is a beautiful, thinly applied, transparent white with only ONE noticeable blemish on the upper bass bout but other than that the finish is beautiful and not "polished-out" but even and glass-like. Overall this guitar is PERFECT with incredibly low action and playability. A true boutique, custom instrument and are rare and hard to find, especially for under 5k! Guitar will be packed properly and fully insured
