The "Red Light Barn" Tele
So I started t birth to a red reliced Telecaster, but... when my eyes aren't immediately seduced, I just can't continue with a project I don't believe or I wouldn't buy. But the back pleased me... I remind myself of this French designer that makes women's shoes with red soles, Christian Louboutin, and I told myself: -"Why not?!" I started to remove the red in the front without knowing what to do exactly, until I remembered also of the barn/reclaimed wood guitars I had saw over Pinterest. I had some hardware from Strat project waiting since many months, and in my head, while removing the colour, I built this Telecaster. The rest advanced real quick; I found at my boss's garden the net I wanted for the control plate, with real rust from some years exposed outside, and the neck I was going to use to the other Telecaster also selling, was used for this one, since I had almost every part I needed. Neck is perfectly straight, will pack it safely. If the bridge doesn't please you, you can easily change it by a vintage Tele bridge; a pickguard can also be added to hide the palette nails i used. Me, i love it like that :) Talking about the neck, i'm very surprised with this one. Some weeks ago, i've spent tuning the 2 Classic Vibe necks I bought used some weeks ago, and yesterday I spent 1 hour and a half to string and tune the octaves on this Tele. 2mm action on the 21th fret (yup, I said 21th, not 12th!) on the high E and 2,5mm on the low E. This morning before going to work I leveled the 18th that was buzzing on E and B, 10 minutes, and there she goes!!! Absolutely amazing! IKN Music (China) wasn't kidding when they said the fretwork had been done!
