This is a 1998 Gibson Custom Shop Les Paul Catalina in Excellent+++ condition. Limited production from 1997-1999 only, available in three colors, Riverside Red, Canary Yellow and Cascade Green, all in Nitro Cellulose Lacquer. Features a beautiful white pearloid pickguard and truss rod cover, nickel hardware, Grover Rotomatic tuners, ebony fingerboard and MOP trapezoid inlays. The headstock of these models has a large circular "Custom Shop" banner logo. The frets feel like vintage medium to me and the neck also has a vintage long neck tenon joint for better sustain and tone, and a tone chambered semi-hollow body. The fingerboard is a compound radius. Neck shape is not super thin like a ’60 Les Paul and not super fat like a ’58. It is a bit like a ’59 Les Paul. Plays & sounds wonderful.
