Description
Exact Year: 1974 Brand: Gibson

This is a player grade guitar - the original owner played in a local band for a number of years. Over the last six years I have owned it I had period correct humbuckers put in it. The guitar has an aged finished to it, buckle rash on the back, and the usual wear you would see on a forty-threeyear old guitar. It is also a '74 Deluxe, so someone routed out the mini humbuckers for full size humbuckers (the 80s were wild).Below are some notes on the guitar. I did my best with the pictures to give insight into what's been fixed/modified and what is Gibson/what isn't. If you want more pictures or information just let me know and I will do my best to get it to you.-Period correct Gibson Humbuckers-Grovers are vintage-Comes with Tune O'Matic B-2 Bridge (Roller Bridge will be removed before shipping)-Brass nut-Comes with original case-Original wear and tear on guitar - this was a local guitarist's main guitar for a number of years and it shows - At some point a previous owner milled an aluminum bar to hold the posts for the tail piece. This doesn't negatively impact the playability of the guitar and seemingly increases sustain. Routed for humbuckers (I like P90s so this is a con for me)
-Neck repair on headstock (repair was done long before I purchased the guitar - guitar is solid, truss rod is fully adjustable, action is low when it is setup properly by a guitar tech (neck repairs are so common on these guitars it isn't funny).-Aftermarket pickup covers (bought these from someone, later found out that were fakes, mad me mad but put them on there anyway for the look - they are not original 74 covers -wish they were).-Not sure of age associated with pickup rings - as told they were from an early 80s Gibson and modified slightly to fit the late 70s Gibson humbuckers I had installed.-Took pictures of pots and wiring - couldn't tell you much about those other then they could use a good cleaning. Someone routed in an interesting bridge - helps with sustain but couldn't tell you what make/model it is or where it came from. For someone looking for a Gibson they can take to gig with this could be the guitar for you. I figured I would try selling it as a whole guitar before I thought about parting it out. Please know that this is a heavy guitar.Set for Buy It Now with best offer. Shipping is set at max eBay recommendation (it will be professionally packed and shipped and insured). Ask questions and I will do my best to answer them. I have the price low on this because it is taking up space, I don't play it enough, and (frankly) I am trying to put together funds for a large scale delta printer (at least 5 foot vertical build volume if anyone is looking to trade).  All sales final. No refunds or returns.
