Up for sale is a 1966 Fender Jaguar in black, with original hard case. The guitar has been refinished professionally in black. Very good overall condition. All hardware/parts/electronics are original except for the saddle for the high E string (was replaced with a vintage part that is identical to the original, but with less patina), a non-original tremolo arm, and the nut. The nut was replaced with a black nut at some point. I considered changing this, but the action is so nice I decided against it. The guitar has been refretted by a previous owner & the frets are in great shape and have recently been dressed. Regarding the finish, I'm not sure if it is a full refin or an overspray - it has definitely at least been oversprayed. There are remnants of blue paint on some of the electronics. My tech was able to remove almost all the paint from the main control cavity (by volume & tone controls). Please see the photos. The paint does not affect the function, tone, or playability, so I will leave it up to the next owner to do with it what they will. There was a piece of binding near the nut on the high e side that was slightly loose, but this has been professionally repaired by my luthier. The guitar sounds and plays great. Currently has a fresh set of D'Addario 10s. Pickups are very strong and punchy, just as they should be. Original case is in very good structural shape, but the Fender logo has partially broken off. No international bidders, please. Will not ship outside the continental US.
