This is a very interesting small sized and possibly rare vintage viola formerly the property of a retired player. What a piece! This viola has an exquisite voluminous and rich tone, and is in A1 playing condition, having had a recent set up. I believe it is an exceptional sounding instrument in good original condition. It is all ready to play, no further adjustments are requiredIf you are looking for a smaller viola with an attractive full singing tone this is definitely one to consider. It's voice is sweet and powerful, rich, and easy to play. Principal measurements are: Length of back - 38.2 cm (just over 15"); Lower bout = 23.4 cm; Middle bout = 12 cm; Upper bout = 18. 9 cm. There are no cracks or damages. There is a signature inside "Dartlett 1909" and another label "repaired by James Hewitt 1913". The inked purfling is largely worn away. Definitely a very old viola. No issues plays well and sounds great. The asking price includes standard courier delivery anywhere in the world.Item is as described and as seen in the pics. Thank you ~
