This is a 1977 Fender Stratocaster with extra mojo on the side! Naturally reliced the old fashioned way; by being played in a thousand smoky bars. What a cool guitar! Combines the best of the old and best of the new. Here's the details;The Good: Guitar is a black-over-mocha finish. Mocha peeks through the wear spots in all the right places. Ash body. Weighs about 10 lbs. Original neck. Guitar has been professionally upgraded by Phil D'angelo (dangeloguitars.com) as follows:- install set of Lindy Fralin Vintage Hots. Use existing wiring and pots (some original and some replaced by former owner). - professional re-fret- install handmade nut- install new Fender '62 re-issue tremolo. - install new period correct Fender tuners. - install new black pick guard. The Bad: This is really a matter of perspective. Guitar shows several chips in paint with bare wood showing. Crazing in finish throughout. Slight finish wear in lacquer along edge of neck. Cigarette burn in headstock. Extra route in body (appears to have been done for weight relief.) Ink stamp on bottom end of neck is very hard to read so I cannot determine date. (Appears to read "7292" but that is only a best guess.) Original case included. Case shows wear and tear but all latches are functional.
