80's Schecter USA Jazz Bass This was made in Dallas after the company was sold and moved from Van Nuys. That being said the hardware and electronics are all from the California plant. It's very likely the neck and body are also. This bass is a tank weighing in at about 11.5 lbs. It plays great and sounds even better. These early Schecter pickups are AMAZING and are very sought after. The bridge and keys are black and also early Schecter. The neck plate isn't marked but is brass and I've seen this on many early Schecter guitars and basses. The neck has a Tele Bass headstock and extended rosewood fretboard and looks and feels amazing. The pots date to 87 and with it having the Fender style headstock, it's early 87. This is the last year you would have got this style headstock. The lawsuit was in late 87 and forced them to change the shape. Many believe this lead to them closing and stopping production. The condition is still good and looks great. It does have some dings and scratches, check pictures. It will come with a hardshell case, I don't think it's original but it's period correct. This bass will satisfy both players and collectors alike...Thanks for looking.
