Advertised for sale here is an extremely rare 1983 Fullerton factory built Fender Stratocaster in original factory Candy Apple Red.  With Fullerton built Stratocaster's, Candy Apple Red ranks in at the second most rare custom colour finish, with Lake Placid Blue being the rarest and hardest to find. A stunning instrument, all original condition with its 5-way installed.  Comes with its original tweed duck-foot case, Fender user manual and catalogue, springs, trem arm and 3-way switch.  The back plate is missing as is the bridge cover. The frets are in very good shape and it plays amazingly well.  The frets are still very high and upon inspection they have certainly been centrally levelled at some point in their life which is normal.  The Strat has been played and loved, it sounds very thick and bright and the neck is fat for a Fullerton neck. Checked intensively under a UV black light, it is all original from the nut to the finish.  The Candy Apple Red is over a gold base-coat and shot over sunburst which was typical both in the 60's and also the 82-84 Fullerton era.  The serial number is your usual V01XXXX, the pencil neck date is 12-3-83 and the R137 pots date to the 30th week of 1983.  The Stratocaster is all original. This one will come fully set-up to the buyers request/specification.  Inside photos will be made available to the buyer for their record and will be taken pre set-up.Cash on collection is preferred.  The price is relatively firm and fair, book price is $3500.  I listen to all offers but low-ball offers obviously get ignored.  This is for sale for 30 days, it won't be re-listed or auctioned off.UK sale is preferred, but I'll consider other locations on a case-by-case basis.
