1989 Gibson L-5CES Custom Shop Model
In stunning and highly flamed NATURAL Finish!This great L-5 is a product of the legendary late 80's / early 90's James Hutchins run Custom Shop. The late Mr. Hutchins' archtops are now regarded as being some of the best Gibson archtops in modern history.
A new L-5CES in Natural finish has an MSRP of $14k and retails for $10k.
This is your chance to save thousands on a killer archtop that is now nearly 20 years old. Seasoned and sounding SO good. - best deal around on one of these.The woods on this are to-die-for... Gibson saves the best woods for these Archtops - and the BEST of those woods go the ones with Natural finishes. This L-5 is all original, with it's original pickups, tuners, and hard case.
We outfitted this with a real set of 1960's vintage Gibson reflector knobs, to give it a little extra mojo. The original bonnet knobs are included as pictured.
The Hutchins signed label came unglued from the inside of the guitar but is included in the case pocket as pictured.
This great L5 was manufactured in late 1989 and has only minor playwear.
It was gigged, but was treated with great care as any L-5 owner would be apt to do.
The top has a small, very minor repaired crack near the tailpiece. It is so inconspicuous that you likely wouldn't even see it if you weren't looking for it.THANKS FOR LOOKING!!
