Description
Brand: Fender No. of Strings: 6 string

Fender Japanese Vintage Telecaster in nitro butterscotch blonde finish from its first year of production, 1982. These Japanese crafted guitars are recognized for their high quality. The Japanese guitars were so good that Fender USA scratched their head... This Fender was built to export, most likely to Europe, and was built in Japan. The guitar is well played which leaves it in excellent condition, it has some wear in the lacquer and some dents all over the guitar. It does not take away from it's amazing sound and playability however, plus these beauties are becoming ever more rare! It comes with an original hardcase.I grabbed this one at a guitar show and boy, did I get some compliments! Folks would walk by and ask "is that a real 50s Tele?". Yup, this one has that kind of mojo. Many remarked that it looked much more "real" than any Custom Shop relics.  This 35 year old beauty gets close to the real deal. I'm absolutely in love with it. Check out the cool, natural playwear. It really looks hip, doesn't it? These JV early 52 RI's have the specs we all know and love. Ash body for great tone. 25.5 inch scale maple neck with  7.5 inch radius maple fingerboard and 21 vintage style frets. 3 saddle string through bridge and Kluson style tuners keep it rock solid. Cool, aged butterscotch finish. The Bridge Pick-up on this one Has been switched with a 51 Custom Shop Pick-Up (Original Included). This Tele plays and sounds good. The neck is slim and comfy. Not big like more recent ones. The frets are dressed low but the guitar still plays fine. The pickups sound excellent with lots of spank. Everything works as it should. Condition wise, this guitar is comparable to a newer heavy relic. Lots of cool, natural wear over the years. I think it must have spent a bunch of time on the bar circuit. Perfectly stable and cool. Super awesome looking guitar. Comes with original Early Fender Tolex Case.Guitars with vibe like this don't come around often. A reproduction of the original built in the same factory by many of the same craftsman. Pricey I know but think of it this way: you could grab a new Custom Shop Relic Tele for alot of money but it isn't going to have this much vibe or potential for collectability. A great guitar for a player and one that I'm putting out with regret. I would love to keep it but I can't keep them all. Give it a great home.Serial Number: JV06679Time of Manufacture: 1982Place of Manufacture:  JapanNeck Profile: Slim C Shape Neck ProfileFret Condition: Minor Fret WearWeight: 7.5Action: Professionally set-up Low action 10's'Overall Condition: "Mint Condition" Colour: Butterscotch BlondeOriginality: The Bridge Pick-up on this one Has been switched with a 51 Custom Shop Pick-Up (Original Included).Dings, Scratches, other: Moderately Played with various dinks and impressions. - Please refer to pictures below.
