This is a nice example of the work of the late Richard Buccigrosse who was a master luthier from NJ.it is a classical guitar designed and constructed in the Torres style. Materials- Body- Birdseye maple with koa binding. Neck cypress with ebony board and maple binding. Bracing- Torres 7 fan brace. The matching headstock and rosette are stunning...Sound - very warm and rich with lots of treble overtones. Very strong bass fundamental. The rosette and peghead overlay made from curly wood. Stunning art deco touch on the tuning machine cutout channel on the peghead..Tuners look to be Schaller. This was the last guitar he finished before his passing in 2009 so a final testament to his work. He is not well known because he never advertised. He didn't need to- his many guitars all sold as soon as they were made. I am also offering one of his uncompleted guitars. The back on this has two areas where the birdseye maple is a little "wavy" has been that way for many years but that is one of the characteristics of birdseye maple.Ive sold many hundreds of high end guitars This is a giveaway price for this level of master craftsmanship....Measurements: scale length 652mmlower bout- 14"upper bout-10-1/2"body length -18-3/4"
