This snare drum has had a serious history and a serious history with me. First and foremost I am not a drummer. I am an engineer who has used this drum on many sessions and bought it as it sounds SO good. The drum has never been gigged only used in studio. I have taken Cooper Vintage Drums website as confirmation of the age of the drum. i also have th original snares which are missing approx 2 or 3 actual snare lines. They sound great but I also bought the snares that are on it now which are Gretsch Responso snare wires from the 1960s. Both sound very different and very great!
This drum has been used by the biggest living rock star ever. Amongst other people. Its tone is second to none and can be sweet and gentle or raucous in hiphop and rock although it sings better not slammed. 6.5x14 Radio Kings circa 1939-40 If you would like any more info, more pictures please do get in touch. I highly recommend coming to my studio in Shoreditch London to try it out as returns not accepted. This drum will be advertised elsewhere probably for cheaper ie Sound on Sound, Gumtree etc. Get in touch for any Q’s Incredible condition drum for this age.
