Up for grabs..first one this year, a two channel audio path single "sidechain" tube compressor using the famed 6Ba6 type remote cut-off tube in triode mode...a variable gain "Variable-mu" vacuum tube.Remote cut-off characteristic allows for lower distortion during heavy or extreme gain reduction... Common sidechain set up as master-slave, One gain reduction meter reflects the common gain control for both channels..the usual arrangement for STEREO applications. The circuit..regarding the sidechain is based on the FEDERAL vintage tube compressors. Has threshold, slope-compression-peak limiting, and speed-recovery time settings. Ofc the unit can be used as a MONO unit as well. Active tube complement- 6X4 power supply rectifier, 6Ba6 variable gain front end, 6C4 line output for each audio channel... 6Av6, sidechain amp and rectifier. Built on a compact vintage EICO steel frame 12" by 8" by 4, with steel covers. Input connect. : RCA type coax. Output 1/4 inch TRS/TS. Audio input sens. is 1 v p-p Output is .75 watt (each ch) matches the INSERT on an audio mixer channel..or even the direct analog outputs from a CD or DVD player (Hot-rod..direct in)
