Includes non original case. Guild T-100D Model Thinline Hollow Body Electric Guitar (1966), made in Hoboken, NJ, sunburst top, dark back and sides finish, laminated maple body, mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard, original black hard shell case. The T-100-D "Slim Jim" was one of Guild's 1960's stand-bys, a bargain in a professional grade guitar with most of the design features of the popular Starfire series at a slightly lower price. The thin 16" single-cutaway body is sunburst-finished maple with bound top and unbound back. The pickups are Guild's thin white plastic & metal covered single-coil units, nicknamed the "Mickey Mouse" pickup by the company's employees. The tailpiece is the standard Guild harp-shaped fitting paired with a traditional wooden adjustable bridge. The bound mahogany neck has a dot-inlaid rosewood fingerboard and the headstock has the standard mid-60's Guild plastic overlay with "chesterfield" column inlay. This guitar has a brighter, snappier sound than the Humbucker equipped Starfires and is quite a versatile instrument, excellent for everything from country to garage-band rock. An excellent player and still a very good value in a 1960's vintage hollow-body guitar. Overall length is 41 1/2 in. (105.4 cm.), 16 1/4 in. (41.3 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 1 13/16 in. (4.6 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 24 3/4 in. (629 mm.). Width of nut is 1 11/16 in. (43 mm.). A nice all-original guitar; the only significant wear is along the back edges (typical with this model as the back is not bound). A few dings but overall very attractive; a small amount of fret wear but an excellent player, very low action and great sound. Cash only please, not interested in trades. Must sell to fund a different purchase.
