This 1916 (Golden Era) Steinway & Sons Grand Piano Model A is a family heirloom that I no longer play, and am looking to sell. Attached you can find an official appraisal I received for it of $12,800 . Here are the comments from the appraiser ( you can also see screenshot of the document in attached images)------------------------------------------------------------------------Appraisal of Steinway PianoModel – Steinway Grand Piano Model A Size – 6’3” Serial # 179730 (Made in 1916)Finish – Satin Walnut As per my inspection of 04/08/17 I find the following. The cabinet has been polished and is in very good condition (see Photos). The action needs replacement of the hammers, shanks, and flanges. The dampers are in good condition. All parts are original. The sound board has some cracks but is functioning normally. The tuning pins are marginal, as is the pinblock. That being said, the piano is up to pitch. All other working parts including strings and bridges are functional.I find the value to be $12,800.00 in as is condition. (See attached photos)
