We sell this same cocobolo veneer to Martin Guitar and other fine guitar makers. This auction is for 4 pieces of sanded, bookmatched, and highly figured cocobolo that are 3/16 inches thick. The sides are 35 inches long X 6 inches wide. The backs are 25 inches long X 9 inches wide. These have been sanded on both sides. They are true cocobolo rosewood with the scientific or latin name dalbergia retusa and are very accurately milled. These have been run through our wide belt sander. These pieces are super smooth--the attached pictures show the actual wood for sale in this auction. There are pictures of both sides of this guitar set. These are great for making a world class guitar. Or they could be used as veneer in airplanes, boats, cars, jewelry boxes, marquetry, etc.This auction is for one set of bookmatched cocobolo veneer. This veneer has been kiln dried and sanded on both sides. This set includes two sides and two backs for a guitar. They are bookmatched or consecutive veneer.

Nicaragua cocobolo is much harder and highly figured than Mexican Cocobolo which sells for less as it is softer and not as highly figured.
