Model: Class 5 Les Paul Custom Brand: Gibson
Body Color: Translucent Black

Up for auction is my stunning Gibson Class 5 Les Paul. This beauty is the ultimate player's guitar. Features a 60s-profile neck and weight-relieved back. Built on a one-piece mahogany back with carved figured maple top. One-piece mahogany neck with long tenon and a rosewood fingerboard. Features an ABR-1 bridge with a stopbar tailpiece. I used to have Seymour Duncans in the bridge, but I've reinstalled the original so the electronics are back to factory specs. The pickups sound phenomenal with a 490r in the neck giving you fat, creamy tones and a 498t with nasty bite and snarl in the bridge. Two volume/tone knobs with a standard 3-way selector switch. I removed the pickguard it came with for personal preference, but I'm including it in case you want to reattach it. Overall, the guitar is in great condition without any structural/intonation issues whatsoever. It does, however, show minor signs of honest wear. Most noticeably, a bit of buckle rash on the back and side of the body, which can be seen in the pictures. Personally, I think it looks rad and adds a lot of character to it! Comes with all factory documentation and original hard shell case.  I have 100% positive feedback, so bid with confidence! I'm also willing to ship internationally, so just let me know in advance if that's the case and I can give you a shipping estimate before you decide to bid. If you have further questions or would like more pictures of the guitar, just let me know and I'd be happy to help! Cheers

One last note, I forgot to mention that Gibson used Brazilian Rosewood on some of these. They won't verify that, because they got into big trouble with the government for using endangered woods; however, I suspect that may be the case with this LP because the fretboard has an unusually vibrant, reddish tint. I've added a close up photo of the fretboard to the pictures for reference.
