Selling my 1993 Custom Shop Stratocaster.  It is a V serial number 60's reissue with all the options that Fender offered on custom orders from the factory during the pre CBS era.  First is the fiesta red custom color, then the gold hardware and finally the rarest option for a Fender, white neck binding.  It's in exactly the same condition as when I bought it used nearly 20 years ago as I switched to playing bass a few years after I got it.  The body and neck are both date stamped 7-93.  The neck also has a date stamped on the end that isn't clear, but appears to be JUN 21  93.  The neck pocket of the body is stamped and signed by Art Esparza.  Mr Esparza became one of the Master Builders when the Custom Shop later started offering Masterbuilt guitars.  The neck heel bears both Art Esparza's and H Gastelum's stamp.  Herbie Gastelum is compared to neck building in the same way that Abigail Ybarra is to pickup winding.  So this guitar was certainly built by some of Fenders finest.  The pickups appear to be Texas Specials.  The one control that I can read the date code is 137931*  the last digit is covered by solder but that puts it 10th to 19th week of 1993 which matches to the other dates.  To my surprise, when I took it apart to photograph the various date codes I discovered a pull switch on the tone control nearest to the output jack that I didn't know was there.  Not sure if it is original or exactly what it's purpose is.  Seems to give a brighter sound when pulled out.  I don't see any evidence to make me think it's not original, it's certainly not a hack job and looks like a factory job.  Overall condition is very good especially considering its age.  There are a few small scratches and dings but nothing major.  The frets show very little wear.  The gold hardware is dull and the bridge and some of the pickguard and pickup mounting screws are pitted where the previous owner obviously didn't wipe it down after playing.  I found a set of gold pickup screws in my parts box that I will include.  The truss rod is free and the tuners are all smooth.  Comes in a tweed hard shell case that has some scuffs and stains but is in otherwise good fully functional condition.  Has some paperwork as shown but I did not get a certificate of authenticity with it when I bought it.  And for those who always ask, it weighs in just a little over 7 and a half pounds.  Any other questions I'll answer promptly to the best of my abilities.  I can usually ship 1 business day from receipt of payment.  I do not ship internationally.  The flat shipping rate includes insurance for the full purchase amount and I normally ship by either FedEx ground USPS Priority Mail.
