A killer acoustic for the stage! Gibson's Starburst elite series was short lived in 1993 but offered players a full sized acoustic that was optimized for the stage. The body is made from highly figured AAA+ Quilt maple. Check out the gorgeous quilt and flame on this example. The 3 piece flame maple neck features a Stunning Ebony fingerboard with delicate star inlays. A built in Fishman preamp and pickup allows you to plug in. An Ebony bridge and Gold tuners keep it rock solid. The finish is a gorgeous Trans Amber lacquer. Made in Montana, USA. An incredible guitar with gorgeous appointments!Gibson guitars are well known for having a sound of their own Its crisp, snappy, articulate and full tone is delivered right across the fingerboard. I must say its superbly responsive too, reacting to the slightest inflection in dynamics with accuracy and bags of sustain. Anyone who's played one will understand that magic. This doesn't feel like a vintage guitar, but nor does it suffer the associated price or repair issues. It's simply a superb blend of new and old. Believed to be one of 23 produced in ’93 the last year this guitar was made and by Ren Ferguson and team. The condition of it is incredible and looks like it came out of the factory yesterday with the exception of some very minor Lacquer checking around the side bout. It's a one owner Gibson that has never been gigged. I was informed that the strings have only ever been changed twice in its life! Overall this Gibson plays and sounds Phenomenal. The neck is straight, the action is Low, and the frets are in Fantastic shape. The pickup delivers good plugged in . Everything works as it should. This is in Exceptional Condition. with only some very slight age associated wear. Comes in Original Gibson Hardshell case. This is a killer looking guitar. Gibson no longer offers the Starburst elite.
