This is an excellent opportunity to acquire this handmade 1970 Sakazo Nakade classical guitar. Sakazo Nakade is one of the most highly regarded luthiers in Japanese history, some people even consider him to be the father of Japanese guitar building. This particular model features a high grade, solid spruce soundboard, with 7 strut fan bracing, high grade solid Indian rosewood back and sides and an ebony fingerboard. It cost 60,000¥ when it was built, making it quite an expensive instrument at the time. It was the highest model with Indian rosewood back and sides. Scale length is 650mm and nut width is 52mm. This guitar produces clear ringing trebles, rich and resonating basses, all well balanced with excellent sustain and at high volume. It is very responsive and offers excellent note separation. It has a sweet, bright tone. The guitar is in excellent structural condition, with no cracks or repairs and good cosmetic condition for a 47 year old guitar. There are a few scratches on the back and the finish has degraded slightly in places. Action at the 12 fret is 4mm low E and 3.5mm high E. Recently restrung with D'addario EJ45 normal tension strings. Comes with hard case. Available for collection from Newcastle under Lyme in Staffordshire or I will post via Parcelforce 48.
