For your consideration is a 2007 Taylor Custom Burled Walnut Solidbody, in excellent 8.5/10 condition, with the included original deluxe hardshell case and paperwork as seen in pics.Featuring a beautiful Burled Walnut top, this guitar is striking to look at and a joy to play.Action and playability are excellent up and down the neck.The guitar shows minor playwear, including some scratches and scuffs upon close inspection.Some light fret wear but plenty of life left.Close to a 9 condition, but we’ll say 8.5 to leave some wiggle room for the black-lighters :).A beautiful looking guitar, matched by its playability and tone. A ¾ size humbucker that’s clear, punchy and dripping with tone. It’ll keep up with every style of player. Designed by David Hosler.
BRIDGEDesigned entirely from scratch, the sleek, all-aluminum bridge solves the intonation drift and ergonomic problems associated with other electric bridge. The bridge heights can be adjusted both front-to-back and side-to-side. Each of the strings sits in its own saddle, and once the intonation is set, the saddles are locked in place with screws located stealthily under the bridge (accessible from the back).
Once everything is locked down, you can take the strings off without the saddles moving, maintaining precise intonation. We also tweaked the perfect break angle for the strings so that no matter where each individual saddle is positioned, it maintains the perfect amount of downward pressure and string length for easy playing and great tone.
NECKIt’s a single bolt precision neck with Taylor’s hallmark playability and adjustability.
FIVE-WAY PICKUP SWITCHThe switch is laid out in a familiar way, with the neck pickup position located closest to the neck pickup and the bridge position closest to the bridge pickup. In between the full, fat neck tone and the rockin’ bridge tone, the middle settings give the Taylor Solid Body its own distinctive flavors.
Position 1: Full neck pickupPosition 2: Inside coils of the neck and bridge pickups in parallel (skinny, funky neck tone)Position 3: Full neck pickup with the inside coil of the bridge pickup (adds fatness and drives the amp a little harder for extra crunch)Position 4: Inside coil of each pickup in series (creating the effect of a super-wide humbucker and producing a truly unique tone)Position 5: Full bridge pickup
KNOBSDesigned in-house. They had to look uniquely cool but also feel good, and work as a functional tool for tweaking on the fly.They have a lip on the top, which makes it easy to grab in a hurry.
TONE CONTROLOur functional tone control acts like a traditional control for the first two-thirds. The last third, especially when all the way at the end, starts peaking the mids, yielding a killer nasal tone that resembles playing through a semi-cocked wah pedal.
FUSED STRING GROUNDIf a lethal dose of electricity is present when you grab the mic, the fuse will blow. The guitar will continue to work even with a blown fuse. Taylor is the first company to address and solve this problem, utilizing a tiny, easy-to-replace fuse.
BINDING AND COUNTOURSThe top is inlaid into the body, allowing us to define an edge with binding and then contour up to that edge.
TONE CHAMBERSLess weight is the sole motivation behind most solid bodies that are chambered. Taylor’s primary motivation is tone, utilizing chambers to not only lighten the body weight, but also to create the optimal tonal “bloom.” We feel we have represented any flaws with pictures and description but please call/text for an in-hand description(530-521-9280) and ask any questions or send a message with your questions or for higher res pics.
