1989 Rickenbacker 370-12 RM Roger McGuinn Limited Edition Signature Guitar with Mapleglo Finish, Compressor, Signed Certificate (signed twice by Roger McGuinn), Original Case and RIC Promo Poster! - Near Mint - Collector Quality!
Manufactured on September 18, 1989. Serial number I26976, #626 of 1,000.
This guitar has been kept in its case for 99% of its time, as it was only played for a few minutes once every couple of years. This one has the active electronics with on-board compressor (not all 370-12 RMs came with this feature). A fresh battery has been installed. The photos tell all regarding condition. As you can see, there is not a hint of a scratch, chip, mare or playwear in the finish anywhere on this guitar. No breaks, cracks or repairs, ever. There is absolutely no weather checking in the finish. Original documentation is included, as indicated in the photos.It includes the Authenticity Certificate, which has been signed twice by Roger McGuinn. Plus, in reviewing photo #2, you will also see that the backside of the upper pickguard has also been autographed by Roger McGuinn. This is surely an added bonus! In addition, I will also include an original and very rare Rickenbacker International Corporation (RIC) Promo Poster that featured Roger McGuinn and his Limited Edition Signature Guitar (see photo #12). These were distributed to Rickenbacker guitar dealers at the time the guitar was introduced. The included poster is in perfect MINT condition; no tape, pin holes or wrinkles! It was never hung on a wall and has been stored rolled. It measures 23” X 33”.
