This Telecaster is made in Korea and is the "Scorpion" model -- there's an inlaid scorpion on the fretboard. Not being a fan of that, I covered it with a wood paint touch-up marker. If that's your thing, the marker comes off easily with polish (when I had the guitar set up, the tech removed the marker, and I put it back on!). I love how the shine black headstock matches the shiny black body. I've moved away from playing guitar so there you have it.
