Hi all,The serial (available upon request) puts it at 1966/67, made at the Fullerton plant, USA.The lower price for this reflects a number of non-original parts, and that it is clearly a guitar which has been played, as opposed to kept under a bed.The only reason for selling is that I'm a 6 string player and would rather someone else have and use this.As noted, the guitar has a number of non original parts:
tuners have undergone a number of changes (see photo), and are currently schaller mini's. To each his own but I think these are great tuners and provide good stability.Front strap button is a gold generic reissue - the rear is original (I think).Scratch plate is likely custom made - at least, I've never seen a 3TS XII with anything but a red tortoiseshell one.The hardcase is a warwick bass case (beaten but sturdy).I had a custom nut made to reverse the string ordering on the low strings - a common 12 string mod and makes the guitar much more playable.I also had a custom part made for the string guide (completely removable, non-invasive) which keeps the break angle of the high stings down and prevents slippage of the strings from the nut when playing. The pickups, pots and electronics are all original to my knowledge.Overall, the guitar is in great condition:
Crazing and buckle rash are evident as you would expect. There are a couple of cosmetic bumps along the butt of the guitar. The neck is worn and very smooth - all the lacquer is gone from the back. I think the neck is akin to a D profile.Frets are good - maybe 80%. I've set it up to be pretty low action and there is no fret buzz.Neck is straight (pictured to my best ability), and the truss rod works. The bridge (a brilliant deisgn) is fully functioning and adjustable - no rust or anything untoward. Please refer to the pictures as these form part of the description.Test plays welcome. I'm in Northcote, VIC. No time wasters please. Also happy to post Aus wide via courier. It will be extremely well packed - I'll stuff the inside of the hardcase with foam, and post the whole thing in a fender cardboard guitar box. Thanks
