Original owner. Excellent condition, has not come out of its padded drawer in microphone vault for over two years. MKH 70 Lightweight Long Gun Microphone. Particularly Suited to Distance Microphone Positioning. Frequency-independent directivity prevents sound coloration from off-axis sound sources. Renowned Sennheiser Quality and Reliability. Exceptionally low self-noise. Attenuation and filter switches work impeccably. Included in the auction is a Rycote "Zeppelin" style windscreen and pistol grip shock mount, complete with original wind sock and Windjammer for challenging environmental conditions, all in excellent condition as well. To round out the package, I've included a nearly new Professional Sound Corporation Universal shock Mount Large with a 3/8" 16 thread suitable for fish pole mounting. I modified the suspension of the Rycote shock mount to use the same widely available silicon o-ring used on the universal mounts. I am including a spare o-ring, as shown on the handle of the pistol grip. One twist of the o-ring for the MKH 70 in the Rycote mount and a double twist for the universal does a fantastic job of isolation for the microphone. Except for a bit of the anodizing having rubbed off the rear edge of the body of the mic from XLR connection, and a tiny bit of paint rubbed off one grille vent section from the o-ring's contact, the mic is like new. It performs as a new mic. The wooden case went into deep storage years ago and unfortunately got pretty beat up, with scratches on top and two large chips off the veneer on the bottom. I'm including it in the auction because it is the absolute safest way for me to ship the microphone.
