1993 Fender Japan Jazz Bass with matching Lake Placid Blue headstock. It has all the characteristics of an early '60s Reissue, but it has a maple fingerboard. I bought this bass about ten years ago. It had the serial number ( N 0984xx written in the pocket) and MIJ sanded off as well as a couple of extra holes for strap buttons. I put quality electronics and pickups in it and have played it since then. The neck is very similar to the real deal. I have owned a few. It has always had DAddario Chromes on it and has very little fretware. The nickel parts have tarnished and it had a couple of stickers on the pickguard. I believe it to be all original except the electronics. It has Bartolini 9J1 dual inline coil pickups in it. They are the deep tone with strong lows and low mids. If the buyer prefers, I also have a set of Nordstrand NJ4 traditional single coils. I will also put roundwounds on it if you prefer. Please give me notice and a day extra to ship if you prefer either or both changed. I have tried to show the wear as well as I could. The finish is in pretty good except for some arm wear. It weighs about average at under 10 pounds on my bathroom scale. It ships without a case, but I will pack it very well. This is a fine bass that has served me very well. Ships only to the ConUS. Thanks for looking.
