A quick note about headstock/neck repairs: Modern repair techniques have taken a serious and sometimes ruinous condition and turned it into a rather routine and completely correctable issue. With modern adhesives that provide greater strength than the parent material, along with advanced repair techniques such as doweling and joint scarfing, most repaired guitars now have neck/headstock joints that are actually STRONGER than the "As carved" original manufacture. The bottom line is that one need no longer worry when purchasing one of these repaired guitars as long as it is expressly stated that the instrument holds tune and that the repair is solid and strong. OK, so here I go again. nobody bid but after the auction ended I got a slew of emails about this axe. so I'm gonna try it one for time for one day only. You already know that this guitar is a players guitar and not a museum piece. It's had a hard life but it's stood up to the abuse pretty well. It has a very cool look to it, a very cool vibe to it, and it plays and sounds exactly as a vintage guitar of this quality should sound (and play). The Headstock/Neck repair is solid and structurally sound (I tested it).So again, if you believe that 45 year old guitars should look like shiny brand new ones hanging in the music shop, this probably isn't for you. However if you actually LIKE that worn, lotta mileage look and feel, then this is as good an example as you're likely to ever see. As for the hardware, it's got 18:1 locking Grovers, Harmonica bridge (standard on SG's of this vintage), OEM (Gibson) Burstbucker Plus PAF style pickups, and of course CTS pots, and switchcraft switch and input jack. The fret board is ebony and the frets are the old school Jumbo extra wides, and the neck is narrow and fast. So last call, I lowered the buy it now price to the low as I can go without bleeding money out my backside, and shipping is $25. Use the buy it now and I'll ship it free of charge. Payment must be made by Paypal at auctions end. I loaded a new batch of pictures that I took outside on the deck. They show it fairly well compared to the pictures I took at night. Thanks for looking (again).
