Super nice almost all original 1971 Telecaster.Real Deal 1971 USA made Tele! Beautiful blonde finish is worn but all there- tons of weather checking which looks great! The backplate reads "304529", the pots read "13769" which makes then 1969 vintage. The blue ink date code at the heel of the neck is there but very, very faint- I can't make it out, same for the neck pocket.Bridge pickup appears all original. Neck pickup appears original and rewound, due to the cloth wires now soldered to it. The original 3-way has been replaced with a modern switch and the guitar rewired with push-back cloth wiring. The pickguard appears to be newer, knobs, control plate and switch tip all appear original.The guitar appears to have one very good refret- it plays GREAT! It is also a very nice weight- 6 1/2 lbs on the dot!People are getting hip to these early 70s Telecasters! This guitar sounds very full with a crisp, biting attack. Such a different animal from a modern Tele!Why pay $4-5K for a "relic" or "masterbuilt" when you can own the REAL DEAL! This guitar ships in it's original case, which is still quite serviceable.I am offering this at NO RESERVE- so good luck!
