for auction a very rare 1928-30 Kamaka pineapple, golden head stock emblem, beige label w/ serial # 12935 handwritten in pencil, research from the Kamaka shop said probably by Sam Kamaka sr. himself, as this is from his very early builds post patent....looks to be solid Mahogany, unbelievable tone & projection, only 2 grain splits on top along bridge towards soundhole, glued & cleated...very stable...very little wear for an 87-90 yr old uke, just the very minor dings that come from time....was a daily player until a few years ago, it's just way to valuable ...newer period appropriate friction tuners, martin fluorocarbon strings for extra bell like highs & rich lows.....otherwise as original as can be, finish has been oiled over the years hence the shine of the original laquer, straight neck, no warping, separation or major repairs...sticker & emblem in excellent cond....includes period suicide case, well packed w/ free priority shipping from Hawaii, U.S. only, also for sale locally
