INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS MUST CONTACT ME FIRST PRIOR TO BIDDING, BUYING OR MAKING OFFERS!!!!Up for a no reserve auction is a SUPER cool KILLER sounding ORIGINAL 1954-1957 Gibson Les Paul Junior (hard to totally pinpoint it, but I would say 55-56 due to some features). This guitar is basically just how I received it from its original owners estate, except I removed the ancient flatwound strings with a wound G, wiped down the guitar, cleaned the fingerboard and VERY lightly dressed and polished the frets, and put a set of 10-46s on it. This guitar was obviously refinished (in nitro lacquer) in translucent cherry red, IT IS NOT A PRO JOB, but still looks super cool as a player, and the finish glows purely yellow under a blacklight, so it was done eons ago, but if I were to keep it I would most likely restore it to its original finish, and what is cool is that in the control cavity, and pickup cavity, and around the bridge post body inserts it appears this guitar was an original TV model!!!!! There is absolutely no evidence of any breaks, cracks or repairs anywhere on the guitar. All parts are original, except maybe the guard and possibly the pots which are dated the 38th week of 1954, but are CTS 1 Megs?. The knobs are original 50s (not repros) bonnet versions, The original nickel plated aluminum wrap around bridge is the thinner early version and is in excellent condition, as are the rest of the parts of this guitar! The original studs are the long version, and are not pulling forward at all in the body as often happens on these, and if you notice the bridge to pickup spacing is the much more desirable wider spaced version that alleviated the bridge pulling issues. The original 3 ply B/W/B jack plate is perfect and crack free, as is the thin single ply truss rod cover. The original P-90 with its original cover absolutely smokes and sounds great, but whoever did the wiring did a poor job, and the tone control does not seem to work or is not hooked up properly. But, this is a killer sounding Junior, it rings like a bell acoustically and the original P-90 pickup is hot! The original single line Klusons work great with excellent original buttons, and there is no evidence of any other tuners ever being on the guitar. The pickguard has me stumped a bit as it looks 100% factory made, it is thin stainless, and is exact in shape, and the 3 mounting screws are in the exact correct place, as what you would normally see on one of these. All of the screws and hardware, save for one screw on the control plate cover are also original. The laser straight neck on this is the perfect profile, very much like a 59. The Brazilian r0sewood fingerboard is in like new condition with beautiful figure, and zero grooving. The frets are also like new, and are also 59 sized (not the smaller earlier versions, so it may have been re-fretted some point but if so, it is one of the best jobs I have seen, and also looks factory, as there is not one chip in the board, and the frets are seated absolutely perfectly, it simply plays amazing. Strap buttons are original. This is a killer guitar for the player not being broken, mostly original parts, and amazing playing and sounding and is priced affordable due to the refin. I am including a nice Gibson, and Les Paul Junior decal set, that I have probably had laying around for 8-10 years, I do not want to waste them putting them on as you could use them if you did a refin. Play it like it is, or restore the finish to its former glory, the choice is yours!!!  The guitar weighs in at the perfect 7.3 lbs. The original case is beat, the lid is shot, but the metal Gibson badge is still on the accessory compartment lid, so that is cool, and it will help protect the guitar during shipping.    SHIPPING WILL BE CHEAPER THAN POSTED THE CLOSER YOU LIVE TO NY!!! Thanks, and PLEASE call with any questions!!!!
