Wow what an amazing find!Crazy "Under The Bed" 1963 Made in USA (hoboken New Jersey) Guild Starfire. Put away in the 80's and forgotten about. I rescued it!This guitar is in remarkable shape with a few minor items that need to be addressed.It is ALL ORIGINAL and untouched. Original finish, frets, pickups and electronics.To be a great guitar again it will need to have the output jack retensioned and the laminated maple around the jack fixed- this is a very inexpensive fix- and remember kids ALWAYS UNPLUG your guitar before putting it int he case! The peghead lamination has begun to come away from the peghead, and the binding is pulling in two places- Again, not big things but I want you to know exactly what you're getting here.The coolest thing is the ORIGINAL hang tag is in the case and the numbers match! There is also the ORIGINAL letter from Guild to all new owners and an original 1963 set of Guild flatwound strings! All of this is in the original case- the case is also in good shape but the handle is not secure, so pick it up with both hands.I own almost a dozen Starfires and this one has a soul and a warmth that is unmatched. Fix the few little items and you have a real one of a kind vintage instrument.I am forced to liquidate much of my collection- so this is offered AT NO RESERVE!
