Fender Stratocaster, Made in Japan 1996, ST62 Reissue. ABSOLUTELY SUPERB

Fender Stratocaster, Made in Japan 1996, ST62 Reissue. ABSOLUTELY SUPERBThe original two-tone top, back, and sides are in very good condition with some very small marks here and there. This beautiful Strat doesn’t appear to have ever really been played. I can’t see many scratch marks on the finger plate. On inspecting the body very closely, I have found one pin mark in the lacquer near the bottom strap pin. It’s a stunning version of a Japanese-Made ST62 Reissue. The headstock is correct for a ’62 re-issue with just the Fender logo on top and a transfer on the back of the neck, near the pocket, with “Made in Japan” together with the serial number denoting this to be a 1995/6 guitar. I’ve had the neck off and the date stamp on the neck is Sept ’96. The body neck cavity is also correctly stamped. The age is further corroborated by the Fender 50th Anniversary sticker, issued to all guitars MIJ during 1996.This guitar is exactly as it was when it left Fuji-Gen, Japan. It has the original hardware, original single coils, 5-way selector switch, Volume and 2 Tone controls. The control knobs and the pick guard are a lovely cream, as they should be on a Reissue.The maple neck is in very good condition. The frets are 100% and the fingerboard is also unmarked. The headstock has the original Kluson-style enclosed tuners with oval heads. How does it play? Like a dream! Has it been modded?
