2006 Gretsch 6122 – 1958 Chet Atkins Country Classic I respectfully submit for your review a 2006 Gretsch 6122-58 Chet Atkins Country Classic. Pure Chet. From New York to Nashville, this first-year version of the Country Gentleman guitar has all the timeless grace and style of Atkins himself. Chet was very involved in the design and it was his idea to add the trestle bacing.
A 17" closed body with simulated f-holes, trestle bracing, Neo-Classic ebony fingerboard, twin High Sensitive Filter'Tron pickups and Bigsby B6CB vibrato combine to create that unmistakable Gretsch/Chet Atkins sound and vibe. Includes case. Excellent condition.
The trestle bracing is extremely beneficial for reducing feedback when playing at higher volume.
