Deimel Guitarworks Firestar Artist Edition “Berlin Tonight” artwork by Kora Jünger Custom Offset Electric Guitar The Deimel Firestar is a beautiful and ergonomic evolution of the classic Offset electric guitar. Designed to be a tool for creative and modern guitar music, the slight offset body with tight hips and long belly balances just perfect in almost any playing position. The reverse, slightly angled headstock adds overtones to the tonal flavor of the Firestar and allows for easy bends on the treble strings and tighter sounding bottom strings. Various controls are placed ergonomically around the guitar for ease of use – In this case a Master Volume, Master Tone and the patented “LesLee” effect. This unique circuit mimics the tone of a Leslie or Univibe by automatically “rotating” between the two pickups. Speed and intensity of the rotation can be adjusted right on the guitar. The sound is incredible! This particular Deimel Firestar is an Artist Edition model designed specifically for the first Holy Grail Guitar Show in Berlin. Frank Deimel and his wife Kora Jünger are co-founders of that show, as well as the European Guitar Builders Association, so they needed something special as a showpiece. Drawing upon their respective backgrounds in Industrial Design and Visual Communications, they chose to showcase their mutual affinity for 60s and 70s style while expressing the spirit of their lives in Berlin and what drives them to build guitars. This first Deimel Firestar Artist Edition “Berlin Tonight” combines the colorful flatness of Koras artwork with Frank’s technical abilities, while capturing the power and creativity of artists and young people coming together from around the world. Kora’s visuals are based on ink drawings which were then vectorized and airbrushed onto the guitar. Each Deimel Firestar Artist Edition is one of a kind, though variations of themes are possible.
