2015 Mayones Setius GTM-8 Baritone 8 String Electric GuitarHello folks! Thanks for taking the time to check out my listing for my Mayones Setius GTM-8 Baritone 8 string Electric Guitar. I just had it professionally set up on 4/12/17 in standard tuning F# B E A D G B E with a set of NYXL 09-80. It has not and will not be played again by me as it is already packed up and ready to go. Comes with a G&G hard-shell case (not Mayones) because the original owner wanted to ship in a hard case as opposed to the Mayo gig bag. Please ask about this before purchasing.
I'm not eager to let this guitar go easily. Why? It's far and above the best 8 string I've ever played, let alone owned. You can smoothly play all parts of the fingerboard and comfortably explore the highest notes without resistance like I experienced on my Ibanez Prestige models.
This is a one of one artist build by Mayones' custom shop and I am only the second owner. The finish is referred to as "Antique Black Oil' and is absolutely beautiful under light.This guitar with these specs (including 1 of the first 2 sets of Seymour Duncan 8 string custom shop Alpha/Omega pickups) and finish would run you around $4000 direct from Mayones or through a company such as The Axe Palace.
Being that I never thought I would sell this guitar, it is definitely a player's guitar. I've never gigged out with it. However, it has a couple of minor imperfections. Since I take pride in everything I own and/or sell, I never leave any stone unturned and have pointed them out in great detail with a high power light in the 2 last pictures. However these imperfections in no way affect playability.
I am guilty as charged of putting a slight ding in the bottom horn of the guitar (see pic). Hence the price break. Also, there is the strangest mark on the neck around the 7th fret (see pic). I've never seen anything like this on a guitar; my theory is that its some kind of weird rash from the previous owner. It cannot even be seen in right light. Pictures say 1000 words though.
