OVERVIEW:A professional's instrument Designed for the professional musician, the Elitist '63 335 Dot from Epiphone combines over 125 years of instrument building experience and expertise with the finest materials. This guitar is a premium instrument based on a classic model and has impeccable quality, beauty and sound.Elitist wood creates a masterpiece guitarAt the heart of every great instrument is the wood itself. That's why the Elitist '63 335 Dot has a hand-selected 5-ply maple top, back and sides. The wood is slowly and painstakingly dried to perfection in custom kilns until it is at the ideal moisture content. The Elitist's mahogany neck is cut at a 14-grain orientation from one piece of wood for optimum strength, stability and tonal response. As done with all great instruments, the 335 Dot's neck is then carefully and individually fitted to the body using a hand-glued, dovetail neck joint. Add a rosewood fingerboard and the '63 335 Dot becomes a guitar player's dream!Gibson-made pickups and quality controlsThe Elitist '63 335 Dot is equipped with custom-wound pickups "Made in the USA" exclusively for Epiphone by Gibson Musical Instruments for legendary sound quality. The rhythm pickup, a 50SR USA Humbucker, offers up a warm yet commanding tone. The treble pickup is a 50ST USA Humbucker that delivers lead sounds that ride above the band.Classic Grover tuners and premium electronicsThe Elitist '63 335 Dot features precision Grover machine heads for unsurpassed tuning stability. Quality follows the entire construction - all pickup covers use quality German silver with a vintage Nickel finish. Four-conductor wiring allows for all possible wiring combinations. Every pickup is potted in a special wax bath to insure that microphonic feedback due to internal vibration is eliminated. All covered models receive a second wax bath to further protect the pickup.
