Hi,  For sale is this Blackbird Clara concert ukulele made of E-Koa, a plant fiber based composite that is weather and humidity resistant, and quite rigid and durable, and resistant to scuffs and scratches.  I bought this to have a quality no-worries instrument that sounds great and will travel well, and which will tolerate various humidity and temperature extremes.  This uke satisfies those qualities in spades, and on top of that it sounds excellent!  It has a great big sound for a concert uke, louder than most Tenor's, and E-Koa was designed to sound like vintage aged koa.  It definitely has that big 'opened up' sound.  Despite being loud, it responds to dynamics really nicely, and when played softly it delivers a beautifully balanced and mellow tone.  Another unique quality of this uke is that it is virtually impervious to being 'smothered';  that is, some ukes, if held too tightly against the body of the player will choke out and loose projection and alter the tone.  With the Clara, its very difficult to smother the uke in this way.  The sound-port is at the top of the body, so isn't blocked by the players arm, plus there's another sound port at the top of the neck on the head of the uke, topping the hollow neck which projects even more tone.This instrument in great condition, not a mark on it, has a strap button at the base, a low G stringing, and has UPT tuners which have the profile of friction tuners with the performance and stability of geared tuners.  It comes with a very nice Blackbird branded Gator gig bag (and a Blackbird pick!)From The Ukulele Site and Blackbird websites:
