Very rare A Designs MP2 dual valve mic preamp / DI in absolutely gorgeous condition.
The unit was recently serviced and sounds excellent.The preamps sound huge, warm and very 3d.
They are very versatile and can be used to track a whole record and are excellent to put a mix through.
(I used it in conjunction with an Amtech Phanzen with excellent results).
Its particular forte is vocals and acoustic instruments.
It is great at smoothing out harshness while still delivering excellent detail and image.
This makes it very useful for making cheaper mics sound bigger and more expensive.
The front panel DI's are killer on bass and synths.This is the precurser to the A Designs MP2A, but a later revision of the very first MP2, and an improved design.
This unit is 100% the same sound of the newer MP2A with a few less extra features:
