Hi, I wanted to build a very nice "component-caster" using some really nice Fender parts from the 80s.  The neck is simply one of the best 80s Bullet necks Ive played, (in my opinion) I of course, love the "Tele" shaped Bullet necks that are so highly prized, but, when in 87, Fender switched production from Japan to Korea, they went to the more traditional "Strat" shaped headstock. The neck contour is thin, and easy to grasp, and has that wonderful early 60s carve and feel to it. It has a 9.5 degree radius, so is a little easier to play as well. (That being said, if you prefer a standard MIM neck, just let me know and Ill be happy to change it out for you.) The pickups I went with are MIJ 1983 reissues of the 70s flat-pole design. They have the brightly colored copper wire that the highly esteemed "red-bobbin" ones do, and sound very similar. The tone is of a shimmery, "bell-like" quality, that is both articulate, and glassy. If your looking for high-gain, these are not the "pups" for you. The easiest way to describe the clarity of these pickups, is to have a listen to Dire Straits, "Sultans of Swing", and that will give you a pretty good idea of the tone. The tuners are Fender/Gotoh "red witch" design, and the tremolo block is the "big one", and sports Fender stamped logo saddles on the bridge. The body is a beautiful aftermarket solid swamp ash, finished in a translucent blonde, "Mary Kaye" finish. The whole package is wrapped up in a near-new, Fender pro-series black case. This "Strat" plays like butter, and has that wonderful "bell-like" tone that is very hard to come by, at any price. All in all, a sleek, and very beautiful looking Stratocaster, with a playability and tone I think you will really, truly enjoy.     NOTE: This is being listed at my actual cost, just to help me to fund other build projects.  Thanks for looking
