1990 Les Paul Standard Cherry Sunburst. One owner guitar. First and foremost this is NOT a perfect guitar by any means so check pics carefully and email me with any questions. I'll describe it as best I can...
The action is low but there is some fret rattle and a little buzzing. I'm sure it needs a fret job as there is some fretting out when bending B and high E strings around the 15th fret. Pics show some dips in the frets.
I removed the finish from the neck with furniture stripper...i was a kid and heard it would make the neck smoother but I was afraid to sand so I masked everything carefully and luckily I didn't mess anything up other than being stupid and removing the finish to begin with.
I swapped the original tuners out with Grovers and of course really tightened down the nuts which ruined the finish around each tuner on the front of the headstock. Tried to capture this in one of the pics.
The pickups are not original. There's a 57 classic in the neck and a 57 classic plus in the bridge. The rest of the electronics are original.
The pickup rings are not original but are genuine Gibson parts. The knobs are not original but are also genuine Gibson parts. Truss rod cover is original but I removed "Standard" from it so it would look vintage.
The guitar has its fair share of dents, dings, and scratches all over but nothing very drastic. Nothing has been broken and there are no repairs. There used to be stickers on the front behind the tailpiece and in certain light the locations are still visible due to their effect on the clear finish. The binding has yellowed badly in all areas.
The original case is included and is in good shape. Combination lock is still functional. The guitar is very heavy. I don't have a scale but I'm guessing it's close to 10 pounds. All items sold as is. No returns please.
