1950's Harmony Stratotone H44 - Previously Owned by Rick Holmstrom
Estimated price for orientation: 1 950 $
Category: Electric Guitars
Class:
Description Brand: Harmony Exact Year: 1950
Here's an original 50's copper Stratotone H-44 that a previous owner painted dark green +added a new pickguard for a 2nd pickup (along the lines of an H-88). Neck pickup is the original pickup with a later black/silver cover added to match the later 60's bridge black/silver bridge pickup color scheme. Bridge pickup is very hot. Guitar weighs 5 lbs. 6 oz. Chris Fleming of Fender Custom Shop hand shaped the neck to more of a mid 50's Fender shape, especially at the nut. From about the 6th fret the neck gets bigger, ala the original shape. Very comfortable big/wide neck. Listen to Pee Wee's Nightmare & Back It Up from Rick Holmstrom's Hydraulic Groove as well as Peculiar Hop, I'm Leaving, 77 Red V8 and Wham-O from Late In The Night to hear the guitar on record. No case, but will be professionally packed.
