Built like a tank.Huge!!This is a 5U high 19" rack.Fully serviced, PSU recapped.
VU and pilot light functional.
Balanced jack cables installed (Neutrik)220V mains, European power cable included. Classic diode bridge limiter à la Siemens U273 or Neve 2254.
Highest build quality.
4 huge transformers by "Transcore" in the signal path: Input, output and two interstage.
This is a feedback design: Winding up the output gain will drive it into limiting.
All knobs interact, various shades of limiting and compression are achievable.
Then you also get a nice dose of transformer mojo and graceful overdrive of the discrete circuitry when pushed.Slight issue:
The knob "Seuil Ecretage" is scratchy and I honestly don't know what it's supposed to do.Here's a couple of test recordings made with the very unit for sale.In case you're wondering: The Picot is mono, so I processed the left and right channels one after the other courtesy of my DAW.Check out my other items with more goodies.Because of age I'm selling the Picot without any warranties or returns.
