This is an enhanced 1446L, as played by Chris Isaac, which I guess means something to some people. The original Gibson made pickups sound very strong. I believe they're the same mini-humbuckers as found in the Firebird, only with adjustable pole pieces. The original tuners, bridge, knobs, nut, frets etc are all in good shape and work properly. Now the good stuff.  As you can see, I've added a Chet Atkins vibrato arm. (I don't know where in my storage unit the original is, but if I find it, we can settle on a price) This stunning arm gives this guitar a very elegant look that I've never seen on a 1446L.This guitar also features a custom made Lexan homage to the original pick guard that looks MUCH cooler.  It's approximately 3/16" thick, and has been expertly shaped to perfectly match the dimensions of an original guard, only with cleaner pickup cut outs, because the originals were hacked out by hand from pre-existing Espanada pick guards. The guard was then engraved from behind with the Silvertone logo, which was painted in, what else? -- Silver!   Then the guard was back painted with a brilliant white. The whole effect is to give the logo a 3D appearance, as achieved by vintage Gretsch pick guards. For an extra 40 bucks, I'll include the original. The body and all parts are intact and working properly without issues. The black lacquer finish has some nice checking that's a little hard to see because of the color.Comes with an original two-tone Harmony case."As Is" sale, with all sales final.
