Barely used, never gigged, with no dings chips or scratches. The only visible signs of wear here are slight shiny areas where skin has made contact with the black satin finish which is 100% unavoidable and 100% always found on a finish of this kind. This instrument isn’t just immaculate to look at, it plays and sounds like a dream too. I tend to purchase certain instruments just to mod them in a way that I believe works as a rewarding alternative to the standard issues. I don't mod them personally though, the modifications which include new pickups and a push/pull pot for coil splitting has been done by a renowned professional luthier here in London. Personally I play more acoustic, hence the light usage, but I do love this instrument! It is a genuine peach and now needs a good home where it will receive the kind of usage it deserves. Please feel free to contact me with any genuine queries or questions you may have. At the behest of the towering Slipknot guitarist, gone are the dual tone circuits and barrage of controls. Gone are the fret position markers and enormous chrome bridge. Gone, in fact, is pretty much everything typical of a Jazzmaster, replaced only by fearsome Bare Knuckle humbucking pickups with nickel covers, single three-way switch and single volume knob, a hardtail bridge and little else.FEATURES         Mahogany body with contoured neck heel         Maple neck with “C”-shaped profile and large headstock         Compound-radius ebony fingerboard (12” to 16”) with 22 jumbo frets and no position inlays (side-dot inlays only)         Bare Knuckle Black Hawk Alnico V (neck) and Ceramic (bridge) humbucking pickups with nickel radiator covers and black bezels         Single volume control knob with push/pull pot for single coil tapped sounds and three-way pickup switch         Hard-tail string-through-body bridgeBARE KNUCKLE BLACK HAWK HUMBUCKING PICKUPSThe Black Hawk humbuckers by Bare Knuckle don’t just look radical, they are! You’ll find all the power and clarity of an active pickup here with all the tone and dynamics of a passive, so no batteries required. Each coil has a pair of specially annealed nickel plated steel blades which transfer the magnetism to the strings evenly across the width of the coil for perfect string to string balance and a push/pull control knob gives you the ability to quickly split the coils for varying sounds.COMPOUND-RADIUS FINGERBOARDThis instrument features a compound-radius fingerboard, a sophisticated and carefully crafted feature in which the fingerboard has a more pronounced curvature across its width near the nut (ideal for chording) and gradually flattens to a very slight curvature toward the upper frets (perfect for bending notes and soloing).LOCKING TUNERSA convenient high-end, high-performance feature, locking tuners offer increased tuning stability, especially on tremolo-equipped guitars, and they make changing strings substantially faster and easier than conventional tuners.EBONY FINGERBOARDThe sparse, dark and sinister look of the Jim Root Jazzmaster is complemented by the smooth feel and sparse, dark and sinister look of a 22-fret ebony fingerboard with no position inlays.SATIN LACQUER FINISHThe finish on this instrument combines the resonance and thin breathability of lacquer with the stylishly muted matte look of a satin color coat.JUMBO FRETSThe largest of the fret sizes, jumbo frets are tall and wide, which lets you get a better grip on the strings, enabling more control over them and making bends and vibrato easier.BODYBody MaterialMahoganyBody FinishSatin UrethaneBody ShapeJazzmaster®NECKNeck MaterialMapleNeck FinishSatin UrethaneNeck ShapeModern "C"Scale Length25.5" (648 mm)Fingerboard MaterialEbonyFingerboard Radius12" to 16" Compound Radius (304.8 mm to 406.4 mm)Number of Frets22Fret SizeJumboNut MaterialSynthetic BoneNut Width1.685" (42.8 mm)Position InlaysNoneTruss RodBi-Flex™ELECTRONICSBridge PickupBare Knuckle Black Hawk Ceramic Neck PickupBare Knuckle Black Hawk Alnico VControlsMaster Volume (push/pull for single coil tapping)Switching3-Position Blade: Position 1.
