2002 Benedetto Fratello.Fitted with Thomastik-Infeld George Benson Jazz strings. Protected by a TKL HSC.
This instrument was made at the Corona Custom Shop in 2002. Hand crafted. Signed by Robert Benedetto. Number 004.Fratello is considered by Benedetto Guitars, it`s manufacturer, as a benchmark jazz guitar. Also, a wide audience outside of Benedetto Guitars considers this model to be the role model jazz guitar. It comes with a vintage styling and premium features. Since I have owned it the past few years it has been in a smoke free environment, climate controlled home, having been taken out of the case and played just a few times.The guitar is near perfect, except for 'finish checking' of the nitrocellulose. There is quite a bit of checking, very visible when held at angle to capture light. Thus listed as 'very good', instead of excellent. For those who do not know finish checking is a 'crack' in the nitrocellulose finish coating only, not the wood, and other than visual has no impact on the musicality of the guitar. The beautiful rich tone, pleasantness of sound and projection is unaffected. I have included numerous photos for scrutinizing.As can be noticed in the photos, the nitrocellulose lacquer checking needs optimal light angles to be fully appreciated.With the 12 photos allowed by ebay, I used most to show the checking. The guitar itself is a beautiful as one would expect sans the checking. No real scuffs, dings, dents, scratches, etc. Internal sticker is signed by Robert Benedetto.Fratello's new sell at $20,000.00.Visit the Benedetto web site for details and specifics.May be offered on multiple sites.
