Awesome 1974-1975 Gibson Les Paul Custom in aged WHITE!!.. a la the guitar used by players like Ozzy Osbourne's favorite.. Randy Rhoads! and later Zakk Wylde (minus the bull's eye!). This is also just like the mid 70's Les Paul custom used by the Edge in U2 as well as Steve Jones from the Sex Pistols. This guitar is in great shape for being 40 years old. The white has yellowed and has a naturally aged killer look. The tone on this beast is astounding!! The sound you can only get from aged wood and magnets! I have loved and owned this guitar for a few years and I am not sure of it's prior history. I will try and be as specific as possible. Please message me for any questions on more details. On to the details: Electronics appear to be all original. Original witch hat knobs. ABR bridge and tailpiece appear to be replaced since the gold is still quite new looking. The tuners are gold Kluson period correct waffle backs that I had installed! They look awesome. It some point someone had probably put grovers on this guitar, as there are extra tiny holes in back of headstock. The neck is very baseball sized to my hands.. big and beefy. The frets appear to have been replaced at some point because the binding nubs around the neck are gone. The frets are very low profile and most definitely feel like "fretless wonders". So the frets are very low, but crowned and play smoothly. The plastic pickup selector switch tip cracked and broke off at some point. It is in a small bag and will be included. It could possibly be glued back together or replaced. Weight feels great.. approx. 10 pounds.Cosmetically.. there are the usual bumps, nicks and bruises.. but nothing major and not a lot of wear in any one section. There is some checking on the top.. there are some finish chips and splits in the headstock area. This is only cosmetic and in the finish! There are no cracks in wood and absolutely no structural or wood damage anywhere. Everything functions 100% as it should!Original case included in good working order... Dated pots: Pot code 1377541. 41st day of 1975.Please feel free to make a "reasonable" offer.
