Born in 1932 in Alabama he began to sing and play guitar and soon after moved to Buffalo New York where he became a lifelong blues musician. In later years he became known as "Count Rabbit" as he fathered 25 children.The Count also loved beautiful guitars and in 1970 he ordered a brand new Fender Stratocaster in Firemist Gold with a maple neck.This is one of the rarer guitars we have ever offered and we have complete provenance to go with it. It has all the features you would expect from a 1970-71 Jimi Hendrix era Stratocaster. With its four bolt neck, single string tree, and rare maple capped neck this is a fantastic find and an incredible collector's piece. In 100% original condition this guitar was played by the Count but remains in pretty darn good shape.
