What a stunner! Drop-dead gorgeous all Koa ukulele made in Hawaii by Sam Chang. Sam built ukuleles for Harold Summers and his brother who taught music to tourists at the various hotels in Hawaii. I consider Chang the most sophisticated Hawaiian builder. The workmanship, design, fretwork and wood choice is the closest to Martin quality you will find in a vintage Hawaiian-made ukulele. This particular soprano ukulele has a more Hawaiian flair with a rope bound soundhole and Koa wood throughout. The headstock features a metal Waikiki name plate and the Tabu stamp on the back. Inside the soundhole is a label that reads "Paul F. Summers Famous Waikiki Koa Ukulele". Sounds great and plays every bit as good as a Martin. Nice, clean condition. The ukulele is all original and well set up with a fresh set of Martin M600 strings. Includes an old case plus a set of vintage Kaholas strings and vintage pitch pipe. Enjoy a trip back in time every time you strum this old Sam Chang uke. Original Chang ukuleles like this one are very tough to find. Worldwide shipping available.
