This is a made in 2010 1958 Gibson Satin Cherry Les Paul Junior. I bought it new in the box from a music store called Leitz Music in Panama City, Florida in 2011. I had the factory string action lowered and properly intonated at a professional guitar shop called Guitar Garage here in Lubbock, TX. I also had the black on the face headstock laquered, both so the silk screen Gibson logo wouldn't fade and that the headstock would shine, these satin finish headstocks not only appear chalky and grey from the factory but are succeptable to fading, the addition of this gloss polyurethane coat not only looks clean, but also seals the gold Led Paul Junior signature script lettering and Gibson logo from chipping off. I have NEVER once propped this guitar against a wall, it has always been placed in the case or gently set onto legitimate a guitar stand, the finish on the headstock doesn't have scratches on it -front or back. This guitar originally didn't come with a case so I bought a $130.00 hardshell molded Roadrunner case for it which I will include and send to you. I made sure never to stain the grey plush interior inside of the case by touching it, so it looks clean. I also didnt strum the guitar strings using any guitar picks so the face of the guitar stayed looking new. The neck has no dings on it either. On the backside on the body of the guitar however, there are 2 faint buckle scratches that rubbed through a T shirt but you'll need to angle it in the light to see them. No rust. This didn't wear the finish away though. After having the headstock glossed in 2011, I stopped playing this guitar. I bought an acoustic guitar after owning this guitar for 6 months and inadvertently became more attached to playing my acoustic guitar. Occassionally, I would set this Gibson on a guitar stand to admire how clean it looks but, I have only been playing my acoustic guitar. Low hours on this one. As the original owner I have kept it sitting inside of the case at my Dads house in solitude for 6 years. Suddenly I need dental work and since it has served as only eye candy for all this time, I feel that someone who appreciates low action, a P 90 humbucker, an actual rosewood* -not 'Obeche wood fretboard and the old school look of the original white vintage kluson tuning keys will appreciate playing this as much as I've simply enjoyed admiring how clean it truly is. Sad to see it go but with my teeth needing dental work, I am confident that being $980 into this guitar, then procuring it in a closet for 6 years, this discontinued gem will find its way into a loving home. When I showed this guitar to my guitar teacher he wanted to buy it off me at its going rate of $750 back in 2011 when it was still in production with Gibson. I will pack this guitar inside the case well when I ship this, and I will go ahead and pay its shipping fee. This guitars single tone knob is incredibly responsive, rolling it from bass to treble provides a very pronounced aural change. I know you'll like gloss on the headstock. Looks rich and wet/black plus it really enhances the gold lettering. The hardware and tuning keys were properly removed and reinstalled until the gloss coat dried when the coat was masked and applied. The action has been professionally set up well enough to tap out a guitar solo high on the neck, if you can play in that style. No dings and no dents on this guitar, but there are just the 2 faint scratches which didn't even wear through the paint on the back of this guitar. You would need to angle it in the light to see it. My correspondence E mailing is steady, I will let you know the instant I can send it to you, provide you with a tracking # and answer any questions you may have.
